It’s been confirmed.  Japanese idol talent and former Hello!Project/Morning Musume member MARI YAGUCHI has found new love and she likes her men tall!  Standing at only 4’9″ the 27 year old munchkin’s new beau is the 6’4″ Japanese actor Masaya Nakamura.  With an overwhelming 47.5 cm (almost 19 inches) difference in height between them, I strongly suspect the ex Morning Musume likes to be dominated in bed and enjoys the feeling of weightlessness if you know what I mean!

The 2nd generation Morning Musume member met her man in the beginning of the year through a friend at a mixer.  According to her friends Mari was immediately smitten.  After several rounds of Mari’s famous “sexy beam” and aggressive approach the couple began dating.

Apparently Mari Yaguchi (矢口真里) is quite serious about this new relationship.  She wrote in her blog yesterday in full honorific form that, “Some of you may already know, I, Mari Yaguchi and Masaya Nakamura are dating and having an exclusive relationship.  I’m sorry to have startled you.”  The tiny Japanese talent added, “Since I’m already an adult I’d like you to wish me well.  I will continue to work hard so please continue giving me your support.”  It was revealed back in January that the Yokohama native broke off with her last boyfriend Takuji Kawakubo last fall.  Rumor has it that it was due to Mari’s boozing habit and her boorish behavior when under the influence.  Do not under estimate this mini cutie as she’s been known to out drink plenty of dudes under the table!

At today’s press conference in Tokyo for the on stage play Mari’s participating in, the reporters tried to flood her with questions about her relationship with Ultraman Nexus actor Takuji Kawakubo but couldn’t get a straight answer from her in the end.

One reporter went right after Mari by asking when does she plan on getting married (he was reacting to the statement Mari made last year of her intention to get married when she turns 25). Mari’s fellow performers came to her aid by diverting the question and cracking jokes.  Nice save!

Ex Morning Musume leader and member Mari Yaguchi has once again gotten herself in a scandal. This time she’s caught being romantically involved with Japanese actor Takuji Kawakubo. Takuji, who appears in TBS’s show “Ultraman Nexus” was caught leaving Mari’s home in the morning in the middle of this month, and the two have been spotted together on other occasions.

The 25 year old idol / talent (a term the Japanese use to loosely describe entertainer) first got into trouble back in ’05 when it was revealed that she was dating the handsome actor Shun Oguri, which resulted in her expulsion from Morning Musume (well, publicly she stepped down but we all knew what the real deal was). Regardless whether you agree or not, in Japan’s ultra conservative showbiz world it is forbidden for an idol to have any romantic relationship, at least in public. Once any scandal is revealed it usually means a career death sentence. And believe me every idol, major or minor, understands that. Like the saying goes, “you wanna play, you gotta pay.”

I don’t understand why Mari would be so careless to be caught again, especially now that she’s been enjoying pretty good success after getting a new lease on her career by being allowed to go “solo”.

According to reports Mari Yaguchi and Takuji Kawakubo first met at a party last summer. I wonder if it was at another one of Atsushi Tamura’s (of London Boots) mixer parties. Of course both of their agencies gave the typical reply, “they’re just friends.”
