Last Monday when super cute Japanese idol and actress MIRAI SHIDA turned 17 years old she also received an unexpected baptism!  I must say somehow the soaking wet lolita teen looks rather sexy.  Now with an U-17 (under 17) status, the Tokyo native was on hand to participate in the press conference of her new TV drama “Hammer Session” at the posh roof top Aoyama Laputa Garden in Tokyo.  As Mirai walked out toward pool side after being introduced she saw a huge birthday cake and 17 roses waiting for her.  What she didn’t expect was that she would also get completely wet real soon!

Carrying out order from Mirai’s co-star Mokomichi Hayami (速水もこみち), fellow actor Jingi Irie gave her a good shove and dropped the petite 4’11″ teenage star into the pool.  Poor Mirai was speechless at first, but after seeing the smirk on Mokomichi’s face she said, “Thank you for the surprising first ‘hammer session’.  This is a most unforgettable birthday!”

Hammer Session (ハンマーセッション!) is about a on-the-run con artist turned high school teacher and his dealings with the problem kids in his class.  The TBS drama will begin airing in July every Saturday night.
