Mao Kobayashi to Marry

Beautiful and sexy Japanese TV announcer/newscaster Mao Kobayashi dropped a bombshell yesterday by admitting her romantic relationship with Japanese kabuki actor Ebizo Ichikawa.  At the end of a press conference for a fashion line yesterday the NTV announcer  suddenly said, “Regarding reports by the media this morning, Ebizo Ichikawa and I are having a serious relationship.  I will provide more information later today.”

Later in the evening the 27 year old Mao Kobayashi (小林麻央) and Ebizo Ichikawa (市川海老蔵), age 31 jointly faxed a letter to the media stating that they have been dating with marriage in mind and will marry in the near future.  The Cent Force (セント・フォース) freelance reporter has also put up similar announcement on her personal blog.

Mao, a Sophia University graduate met the rock star like Ebizo back in January of this year for a special interview she was doing for NTV’s prime time News Zero program.  Ebizo carries a playboy reputation with him, having dated high profile actresses / models such as Ryoko Yonekura, Eriko Sato and Saki Takaoka in the past with not so great endings.  I hope he’ll change his ways and cherish this special girl.

Sexy Japanese TV Announcers

In Japan, the land of milk and honey, even the female announcers (a Japanese name for reporters and newscasters) you see on TV are young and kawaii.  Popular Japanese TV announcers are treated like celebrities with loyal fan following and their every move is under the constant watchful eyes of Japanese weekly magazines.

This past Wednesday 6 beautiful and talented TV announcers made an appearance at the press release of PSP’s new game “J. League – Let’s Build a Pro Soccer Club! 6 Pride of J” (J.LEAGUE プロサッカークラブを作ろう) in Tokyo with super cute freelance announcer Aiko Kaito (皆藤愛子) leading the pack.  This time the popular series from SEGA has included these hot and sexy ana (short for “announcer” in Japanese) to appear in the game as either the club owner or club secretary.  If I was working for one of the soccer clubs in the game, I’d stay in the secretary’s office and do overtime everyday!

All 6 beauties belong to Japanese talent agency Cent Force (セント・フォース).  Can you say collaboration? ;)

* Yuri Ito (伊藤友里) is a Fukuoka Prefecture native who just turned 22 on the day of the PSP event!  She hosts and reports TV shows mainly for TBS.

* 22 year old Haruka Washio (鷲尾春果) was Miss Hosei University 2007 and went on to be selected as the grand prize winner of 2007 Miss Campus Queen Contest!  She also models for Japanese fashion magazine Ray.  Haruka has appeared on Fuji TV shows.

* There’s no doubt Akiko Hatta (八田亜矢子) got brain too.  She was 2004 Miss Tokyo University (that’s the most elite university in Japan, folks) was always ranked in the top 10 as the most desirable tutor.  The 24 year old has been a regular on popular TBS shows such as “King’s Brunch” (王様のブランチ) and “Radical” (ラジかるッ).

* Countless number of men melt at the sight of 25 year old Aiko Kaito (皆藤愛子).  The Waseda University graduate entered the spotlight when she was selected to be the weather reporter on Fuji TV’s “Wake Up TV” (めざましテレビ) in 2005.

* Mai Yamagishi (山岸舞彩) has been a fashion model since graduating high school and was chosen as the 2006 Toray swimwear campaign girl.  She has appeared on NHK and TV Asahi since moving over to Cent Force.  Mai has worked on shows reporting on Super GT and WRC.

* Akiko Osawa (大澤亜季子) is a 21 year old Osaka native currently attending Nihon University.  In 2007 Akiko took over the weather girl position on “Wake Up Saturday” (めざましどようび), airing on Fuji TV.
