Here’s pure looking Aomori Prefecture (northern Japan) native Emi Sakamoto (坂本恵美). The 19 year old Japanese teen has been working as a gravure idol since she was U-15 (under 15)!

Japanese Gravure Idol Seiko Ando

Check out the sweet smile on the lolita faced Seiko Ando (安藤成子). Currently 21years of age, the former U-19 Japanese gravure idol was strutting down pit lane as a teenage race queen. It is obvious that the Yokohama native (just 1hr southwest of Tokyo) didn’t enter the showbiz circle for money, since she comes from a very well to do family. As a matter of fact, she used to live by herself in an ultra luxury condo that cost $3400 per month for rent, which earned her the nickname “celebrity gravure idol” (セレブグラドル)!

Seiko was a semi-finalist in the 2005 All Japan High School Girl Uniform Collection contest (全国女子高生制服コレクション or “seikore” 制コレ for short) that’s put on every year by Japanese manga publishing powerhouse Shukan Young Jump (週刊ヤングジャンプ).

Japanese TV Announcers In School Uniform

Check out what they did to these 3 lovely young “announcers” (a Japanese catch-all name for newscaster, reporter and overall window dressing, rating boosting pretty babes) who just entered TV Asahi this year. To get the viewing public acquainted with the new entrants, TV Asahi showcased their Class of 2008 on a quiz variety show dressed in no other than my favorite outfit - Japanese school girl uniform!

On the show they focused on Yoshie Takeuchi (竹内由恵), a former Miss Keio University who has taken over the prestigious position of co-host on the popular music program “Music Station” (ミュージックステーション).

Japanese Idol Actress Erika Toda x Up To Boy

Hot Japanese idol and actress Erika Toda (戸田恵梨香) in the house today. The mega popular former U-19 idol recently left that status when she turned 20 in August. Erika is from the beautiful port city of Kobe and got her start in showbiz by entering Shukan Young Jump magazine’s annual “Seikore” (制コレ, or All Japan High School Girl Uniform Collection) contest when she was 15. Some other Japanese celebrities who also entered in the contest that same year include gravure idol Maki Horikiri, fashion model Yurie Tashiro and gravure idol Yukie Kawamura who was the runner-up.

No fellas, she is neither Syrian nor Lybian. She’s the birthday girl who turned 23 today - sexy Japanese gravure idol Lyrian (りりあん)! With a 153cm (5 feet) petite frame and a cute face, Lyrian has gained quite a following, especially on the internet

Here’s the angelic Hikari Yamaguchi (山口ひかり) posing in an oh-so-cute Japanese school girl uniform, which by the way is my favorite kind of outfit on a lolita looking girl like her! It makes me wonder what the 16 year old high school junior looks like when she wears her real school uniform.

Sleepy John Hits Tokyo, Part 6

You know the Japanese are a bunch of kinky people…check out all these cosplay costumes (コスプレ) they’ve got on the shelf! It doesn’t matter what you’re into, more than likely you’ll be able to find something that’ll get you off. Just from this rack along they’ve got costumes for different types of lolita French maid, nurse, sailor uniform, Japanese shrine maiden “miko” (巫女) and other Japanese school girl uniform.

I’ve gotta get a girl to try on some of these cosplay costumes for me!

Funky looking Humax Pavilion building (ヒューマックスパビリオン) across from Marui Department Store in Shibuya (渋谷) houses a variety of restaurants, retail stores and entertainment venues.

I spotted a billboard advertising the upcoming single with another funky name “Rocket Sneaker” (ロケットスニーカー) from mega J-pop artist Ai Otsuka (大塚愛).

Walking up the always busy Dogenzaka street (道玄坂) in Shibuya.

Some poor fellow got gaffled by the Japanese po-po in Shibuya for leaving his car on the street for too long. Since Japan overall is a very safe country, the police there make a huge deal out of everything everytime they get a chance to perform their “duty”.

Popular Japanese techno pop (picopop) group Perfume has teamed up with Japanese confectionery maker Morinaga (森永製菓) to promote their “Pino” brand chocolate as an oversized lit up image of the 3 girls from Hiroshima gets paraded on a truck through Hachiko Crossing (ハチ公口) in Shibuya.
