Meet the newest “Pocky Girl”, Japanese idol and actress Shiori Kutsuna (忽那汐里). Born and raised in Australia, the 15 year old cutie was selected to be the 50th generation Pocky Princess. The same distinctive honor was also given to popular Japanese idol actress Yui Aragaki a couple years ago which greatly helped boost her to stardom.

The U-15 teen idol moved to Japan 2 years ago to pursue her showbiz career and currently belongs to Japanese entertainment agency powerhouse Oscar Promotion (オスカープロモーション).

Shiori got her first major break when she received the Special Recognition Prize at the 2006 All Japan National Girl Beauty Contest (全日本国民的美少女コンテスト). She followed up that good fortune with an appearance on J pop unit Orange Range’s video “Oshare Bancho” featuring Soy Sauce. Shiori has also landed a role on Fuji TV’s drama “Taiyo to Umi no Kyoshitsu” / Homeroom on the Beach Side (太陽と海の教室) this past summer along side with Kii Kitano.

Yoko Maki Pregnant

Can you say another one bites the dust? In keeping up with the current trend among Japanese celebrities of unplanned pregnancy and shotgun wedding, popular Japanese actress and idol Yoko Maki (真木よう子) has joined the not so honorable list.

The Chiba Prefecture native who just turned 26 boasts a pretty face, super slender body yet succulent huge 90cm G cup tits! Her management agency announced yesterday that the actress who put herself on the map with her role as the sexy special task force police captain in the 2007~2008 Fuji TV drama “SP” registered her marriage on the 11th. The lucky dude who has the pleasure of penetrating Yoko is just a regular bloke not related to the entertainment industry and also 26 years of age.

Japanese idol authority Up To Boy gives you a sneak peak at gravure idol Hiroko Sato’s (佐藤寛子) latest and final photobook titled, “Portrait”. Unlike most Japanese gravure idols Hiroko maintains her Japanese-ness by keeping her hair jet black and shooting with minimum make up. The sexy 23 year old Japanese gravure veteran unexpectedly announced at the press event for “Portrait” that this would be her last photobook and she’d be leaving the gravure circuit to concentrate on acting. That is a damn shame…I say she needs to stick around and show us more of her busty F cup chest!

Up next in our special Up To Boy (アップトゥボーイ) gravure spread is one of the most in demand Japanese U-19 (under 19) idols…Kii Kitano (北乃きい). These days you can see the 17 year old Yokosuka native (about an hour south of Tokyo) all over Japanese TV. Kii got her start as a fashion model for the teen magazine “Hana*Chu”. She then won the sought after Miss Magazine gravure idol contest in 2005, becoming the youngest grand prize winner (14) in the history of the contest.

To offset the dreaded Monday blue I bring you the beautiful face of Japanese actress / idol Satomi Ishihara (石原さとみ). The 21 year old has already appeared in several Japanese TV drama and movies. She was discovered at the 27th Hori Production “Pure Girl” talent search in 2002 (ホリプロタレントスカウトキャラバン『ピュアガール2002』). Satomi won first place at that contest and needless to say belongs to “Horipro“, one of the largest entertainment agencies in Japan.

Japanese gravure authority Up To Boy (アップトゥボーイ) did a spread on Satomi Ishihara to promote her then upcoming photobook which celebrated her 20th birthday and also contained a collection of gravure photos she did from age 16 to 19.

The same prestigious event produced popular idol / actress / singer such as Masami Nagasawa (2000 winner) and Chihiro Otsuka.

Hot Japanese idol and actress Erika Toda (戸田恵梨香) in the house today. The mega popular former U-19 idol recently left that status when she turned 20 in August. Erika is from the beautiful port city of Kobe and got her start in showbiz by entering Shukan Young Jump magazine’s annual “Seikore” (制コレ, or All Japan High School Girl Uniform Collection) contest when she was 15. Some other Japanese celebrities who also entered in the contest that same year include gravure idol Maki Horikiri, fashion model Yurie Tashiro and gravure idol Yukie Kawamura who was the runner-up.

Popular Japanese model and actress Yu Aoi (蒼井優) has been caught dating Junichi Okada (岡田准一), member of Japanese boy band V6. Photos of the couple walking intimately together are splashed across the pages inside Japanese weekly tabloid magazine FRIDAY (フライデー) which went on the stand today.

Yu and Junichi have been rumored to be romantically linked since they both starred in the TBS drama “Tiger & Dragon” (タイガー＆ドラゴン) back in ‘05. They reportedly became friends after working together and according to people close to them their relationship have turned intense within the last few months.

The well known Japanese tabloid that’s also responsible for breaking the news on other secret celebrity relationships shows the couple intimately holding the same umbrella after doing some grocery shopping. FRIDAY’s paparrazi then witnessed Johnny’s Entertainment idol enter the condo of the homey looking 23 year old….apparently spending the night together (trust me, although this is nothing to bat an eyelid about in Western countries, it’s enough for a scandal in Japanese society).

When contacted for a response, Junichi and V6’s management replied, “We leave all the private matters up to him so we shall refrain from commenting.” Yu’s handler Itoh Company Group provided a vague statement that says, “We have been told that they have become close since working together. Since she is already an adult we’ll leave her private affairs up to her.”

Ai Kago Officially Back

Ai Kago will be making her return to Japanese TV this Friday on Fuji TV

Former Morning Musume and super popular Japanese idol Ai Kago (加護亜衣) announced on her blog last Friday that she’s officially back in Japanese showbiz! Affectionately called “Aibon” or “Kago-chan” by her fans, the 20 year old cutie revealed she’ll make her first Japanese TV appearance since her second smoking scandal more than 2 years ago.

Ai Kago is going to be the guest on Japanese showbiz icon Sanma Akashiya’s Fuji TV late night variety show “Sanma no Manma” (さんまのまんま) this Friday. On the show Aibon will talk about her downward spiral, her road to recovery, her succeeding in losing 22 pounds and her current status as a bona fide Japanese actress and “talent”. Aibon has recently returned from Hong Kong after completing her role in “Super Chef” (スーパーシェフ), her first movie since her comeback. The film will be shown in Hong Kong this fall and be in theaters in Japan next April.

Ai Kago has also began filming a historic suspense drama with NTV (Nippon TV) in the ancient capitol of Kyoto since returning to Japan.  She plays a princess and from the leaked press photos I’ve seen she looked absolutely adorable!  Upon her return she was asked about the rumor of her and former Morning Musume member Maki Goto (current AVEX artist) forming a new unit.  Aibon responded that it was also the first time for her to hear such speculation but she’d welcome it.

Popular Japanese U-19 idol and actress Yui Aragaki (新垣結衣) appeared at a press conference in Tokyo yesterday to promote her latest and last commercial work as a teen for P&G Japan’s Pantene shampoo, which will air starting next Monday. The Naha, Okinawa Prefecture native is pitching for Pantene’s “Silky Smooth Essence” line.

In the commercial Yui aka “Gakki” is shown feeling depressed because of the upcoming yearly rainy season in Japan (usually from mid June to mid July). But she uses the Pantene Silky Smooth haircare treatment every morning and by Week 2 she transforms into a happy girl holding an umbrella walking in the rain! Simple storyline, yes?
