Beautiful and sexy Japanese TV announcer/newscaster Mao Kobayashi dropped a bombshell yesterday by admitting her romantic relationship with Japanese kabuki actor Ebizo Ichikawa.  At the end of a press conference for a fashion line yesterday the NTV announcer  suddenly said, “Regarding reports by the media this morning, Ebizo Ichikawa and I are having a serious relationship.  I will provide more information later today.”

Later in the evening the 27 year old Mao Kobayashi (小林麻央) and Ebizo Ichikawa (市川海老蔵), age 31 jointly faxed a letter to the media stating that they have been dating with marriage in mind and will marry in the near future.  The Cent Force (セント・フォース) freelance reporter has also put up similar announcement on her personal blog.

Mao, a Sophia University graduate met the rock star like Ebizo back in January of this year for a special interview she was doing for NTV’s prime time News Zero program.  Ebizo carries a playboy reputation with him, having dated high profile actresses / models such as Ryoko Yonekura, Eriko Sato and Saki Takaoka in the past with not so great endings.  I hope he’ll change his ways and cherish this special girl.

Sexy Japanese gravure idol Yoko Kumada (熊田曜子) wants to get married…like now!  Japanese daily Sankei Sports aka Sanspo interviewed the gravure veteran earlier this year to find out that the Gifu Prefecture native is very ready to say yes to a wedding.  Can somebody please tell me where is the sign up sheet for me to bury my face in Yoko’s soft F cup chest?

I have a strong urge to get married.  As a matter of fact, I thought I was going to marry when I was 23 years old.  Like I wrote in my book last year, I’d like to get married at 27 and give birth at 28.  I’ve gotta get hitched since I already missed that deadline.  There’s no ideal partner right now, but I’m thinking positively and working hard everyday toward that goal.  There’s still time. 

I think a woman who works hard for a man is wonderful.  I’ve been working out hard for a body that men would love.  I lost 8 kg in 3 months.  To maintain my nice body shape I began doing massages since 2 years ago and keeping a close eye on my weight on a daily basis.  As I enter my 7th year in showbiz, I keep expanding my talent as an actress, singer and entertainer.  I’m always seeking out my own style.  To me gravure modeling is still my bread and butter, so I’ll continue doing that in the future.

Yoko Kumada Wants to Get Married Now

Today Japanese daily Sports Nippon revealed that sexy Japanese actress Takako Tokiwa (常盤貴子) will soon marry her boyfriend of 6 years.  Her fiance is Keishi Nagatsuka (長塚圭史), a Japanese actor, screenwriter and director 3 years her junior.  The couple met back in 2003 while working on the movie Geroppa, or Get Up (ゲロッパ! ), in which Takako had the starring role. 

The busty Stardust Promotion (スターダストプロモーション) starlette came onto the scene in the mid 90s appearing in several popular TV drama.  She is often referred to by Japanese women as the standard of beauty and has endorsed many cosmetic lines.  Takako’s ample breasts are always a hot topic and Japanese media has estimated her boobs to be an F cup.  According to the report Takako Tokiwa and Keishi Nagatsuka have met both of their parents as well as notified their respective management agencies so their pending marriage seems to be well set in motion.

Aki Hoshino, the baby face busty Japanese gravure idol we all love has said no to getting married…uh, at least this year.  At a press conference yesterday in Tokyo promoting the upcoming sci-fi movie Doomsday the F cup “roriero” (a Japanese term to describe both having a lolita face and being erotic) sexy kitten strongly denied report from a Japanese weekly that she’s ready to tie the knot with her supposed 19 year old boyfriend Japanese jockey Kosei Miura.

The 32 year old Japanese gravure veteran said, “I actually heard that rumor from my mom.  I’m not getting married this year, no way.  There’s still plenty of time so I’m not in a hurry.”  When asked what she’d do if there’s only 48 hours left in this world just like in Doomsday Aki answered, “I’d like to meet someone special.  If there’s someone I like I want to see him.”

Hahaha…isn’t that answer a little bit too pure for you Aki?  We all know you just want to ride that teenage jockey all day long until kingdom come!

Aki Hoshino Says No to Marriage

I’ve got some sad news for you Misaki Ito (伊東美咲) fans.

The beautiful Japanese actress and model of Densha Otoko fame announced this past Monday that she has tied the knot with Japanese business man Yoshinori Enomoto (榎本善紀), 8 years her senior.  Since the couple met at Japanese gravure model/actress Mami Uematsu’s wedding in Hawaii last November, Misaki says they plan on holding a small wedding ceremony there too this November.

40 year old Yoshinori Enomoto is often called “the prince of pachinko” as the head of Kyoraku (京楽産業), one of the premier Japanese pachinko manufacturers.  Reports of Misaki dating the Japanese multi-millionaire first surfaced in March of this year.  They were sighted dining at an upscale teppan yaki restaurant in Tokyo earlier in the year with Japanese actress/model Uno Kanda and her husband who is a successful operator of pachinko parlor chain.  The total bill reportedly came out to be around $2000 and Misaki’s man picked up the tab.  Ito and Enomoto have also been spotted taking hot spring trips and going expensive furniture shopping together.

While usually Japanese actresses are free to marry whoever they want, Misaki Ito’s management agency has indirectly voiced some displeasure at her sudden announcement.  Apparently she failed to notify her handler Kenon (研音) in advance and it became rather embarrassing when it was approached for comment.  The agency expressed surprise and said they only knew Yoshinori Enomoto as one of her friends.

The tall and slender Fukushima Prefecture native is no stranger to Japanese tabloids.  Misaki has dated some hunks in the past, including Japanese actor Mokomichi Hayami and J-pop singer ISSA of Da Pump.  I wonder how long this marriage will last as we all know beautiful actress and successful businessman is not always the best combination (case in point – Megumi Okina and her entrepreneur ex-husband).

Japanese actress / singer and former mega idol Noriko Sakai (酒井法子) has gone missing since the arrest of her ex-pro surfer husband Yuichi Takaso (高相祐一) on drug charges this past weekend.  Many people including her family and her management company Sun Music Production have been attempting to reach her without success.  And now the police and Japanese media are fearing for the worst.

The last weak cellphone signal that came from the 38 year old mother of one was from Yamanashi, a prefecture neighboring Tokyo.  The dense forest area by the foot of Mount Fuji in Yamanashi Prefecture is notorious as the final destination for people who want to commit suicide.  Even though flyers have been put up around the area so far there has been no sighting of the beautiful Japanese starlette.

A handful of you who are old enough should remember the cute as a button “noripi” (のりピー), as she is affectionately called was a huge idol singer from the late 80s throughout the 90s.  Her soaring popularity was not only limited to Japan but all over Asia as well.  It’s not far stretched to say Noriko is one of the original Japanese idols.  The Fukuoka Prefecture native entered Japanese showbiz when she was just a junior high school student and married at the end of 1998 when she was knocked up by Yuichi.

Yuichi Takaso, age 41 was placed under arrest late Sunday night over possession of illegal stimulants.  According to eyewitness report Noriko had a mental breakdown when she showed up at the police station.  She then left the police station and hasn’t been seen since.  For the timing being her 10 year old son is being cared for by a family friend.  Due to the sensitivity of the situation, Toyota has decided to halt airing its Noah minivan commercials featuring Noriko Sakai.

I remember Noriko well and certainly hope for the best outcome.  It would be a damn shame and such a waste if she chooses to end her life!  Both she and Akiko Yada should dump their loser husband and continue on with their showbiz career.

Haha this should be categorized as a “prequel”.  But since we’re on the hot news trail of marriage announcement from the sexy and talented Miki Fujimoto (藤本美貴), I thought I’d write up this piece too.

Former Hello!Project and Morning Musume Japanese super idol Miki Fujimoto appeared alongside with ex-colleague Mai Satoda (里田まい) at the end of May at a publicity event put on by McDonald’s Japan and Coca Cola Japan.  It was the Hokkaido Prefecture native’s first appearance since the announcement of her engagement to Japanese comedian Tomoharu Shoji of Shinagawa Shoji duo.

At the promotional event Mikitty frankly told the reporters that she’s happy she met her man and he’s the perfect partner.  Upon hearing such candid words, Mai said, “I’m so envious.  I also want to say I’m getting married.  I’d like to have a partner”

At the campaign for Coke glass the two girls also played a mini futsal match with ex Japanese national team players.  Playing off the soccer theme, after the exhibition match Mikitty was peppered with questions such as “When’s the kick-off for your marriage” and “What do you consider as a red card in a relationship”.  To which the 24 year old former Morning Musume replied, “I’d like to have a decision about the wedding by July.  To me cheating constitutes as a red card.”

The day countless Mikitty fanboys around the world fear the most has come.  Former leader of the Japanese super idol group Morning Musume Miki Fujimoto (藤本美貴) announced on Sunday Japan time that she and fiance Tomoharu Shoji (庄司智春) have tied the knot.

Miki caused quite an uproar back in 2007 when she was caught dating the second rate monkey-looking Japanese comedian as the leader of the most popular J-pop idol group.  The couple was dubbed “Beauty and the Beast” by the Japanese media.  Nobody thought they’d last but this past March their engagement was announced to the public.

At the press conference the 24 year old Hokkaido Prefecture native appeared in an elegant white dress with black dots looking as cute as ever.  The 6th generation Morning Musume member and former Hello!Project artist told the media that she and Tomoharu, one half of Japanese comedy duo Shinagawa Shoji have already held a wedding ceremony in Hawaii on the 3rd.  To quell Miki’s fanboys any last shred of hope, Mr. Shoji announced that they officially registered their marriage the day before.

It was revealed that Tomoharu actually first proposed to Miki last summer.  However Miki did not accept it because it didn’t include include a ring and wasn’t up to her expectation so she made the Yoshimoto Kogyo comedian try again.  Affectionately known to her fans as “Mikitty” (because of her love for Sanrio character Hello Kitty), she commented that she was moved when she realized that she has changed her last name.

When the subject came to children, Mikitty said, “We don’t have any plans to have kids right now.  But I want us to enjoy each other’s company first then have kids.”  The porcelain skinned songstress added that she’ll start moving her stuff over to her new hubby’s place.

While I’m not too thrilled to hear the news (yes, I too, am a Mikitty fan), I had a feeling this day would come.  Such is the harsh reality of life!  Fellas, we’ve lost another pretty young one.

Popular Japanese fashion and lingerie model Rina Fujii (藤井リナ) held a press event last month in Tokyo for her self produced wedding dress brand L et Lena.  The quarter American hottie who just turned 25 last Thursday showed up in a gorgeous red wedding gown and appeared very happy.

Tokyo born Rina has been the talk of town because last month Japanese gossip magazine Josei Seven (女性セブン) reported that she was exchanging passionate kisses on the street with Japanese hip hop group DA PUMP vocal ISSA, real name Issa Hentona (辺土名 一茶).  The timing couldn’t have been more perfect for the reporters to ask Rina, who’s been saying she’d like to get married since she was a teenager, about her love life and wedding plans.  When a reporter inquired whether the sexy ViVi and Peach John model was wearing the wedding dress while in love, the reply was, “Yes, everyday.”

ISSA is no small time player.  As leader of DA PUMP, the 30 year old Okinawan has made sure his group continues to see success since its debut back in 1997.  He has dated big name entertainers such as Japanese actress Ko Sibasaki (柴咲コウ) and gravure idol / talent Yu Abiru (あびる優).

The press wanted confirmation and asked, “Is your boyfriend the same as the person reported in the article?”  Rina Fujii could barely hold back her smile and responded with a simple “yes”.  When asked how she’d spend her birthday, Rina said, “I plan on spending it with my family, so I’ll hold off going on a date with my boyfriend.  But it’d be nice if there’s a surprise.”  She turned red and replied, “His kindness” when reporters asked what does she like most about her beau.

According to Rina Fujii, who went by the name “Lena” when she first started modeling, the couple hasn’t discussed marriage yet.  But she does hope to get married so she’d like to make it happen someday.  When approached for comment, ISSA’s agency Vision Factory (ヴィジョンファクトリー) responded, “He is an adult so we leave all private matters to him.”

I wonder if she’d say yes if she was presented with a fat ring on her birthday…

Since the face of Japanese fashion magazine CanCam‘s admission to her romantic involvement came rather out of the blue, the reporters wanted to know if Yuri has had other experience with love that arrived unexpectedly.  To which the stunning doe eyed beauty replied, “I’m rather conservation so I’m not the type to fall in love unexpectedly.  But I like the idea of being in love and being together forever.”  Could Yuri be hinting at an impending marriage?

I’m really not sure what to make of this.  Is it a desperate attempt at cashing in some dough, an exercise in narcissism plus stupidity or simply a celebration of womanhood?

Former J-pop star and Komuro Family princess Hitomi is determined not to let her newly attained “mommy status” get in the way and is trying to make a come back.  Apparently the 33 year old Kanagawa Prefecture native was scheming even after she got knocked up due to unplanned pregnancy last year.  This Wednesday Hitomi’s new album and fully nude photobook, shot while 7 month pregnant titled “Love Life 2″ went on sale.

Yuri Ebihara, affectionately known by her fans as “Ebi chan” was on hand for a special promotion that invites current Samantha Thavasa handbag owners to turn in their current unit in exchange for a 3000yen (approx. $30) voucher good toward the purchase of a new handbag.  The collected second-hand bags will then be auctioned off with all the proceeds going to breast cancer reserach.  Pretty smart marketing strategy if you ask me!

Of course the hot question at the moment for Yuri Ebihara, the symbol of Japanese cuteness, is her boyfriend – popular Japanese hip hop group Rip Slyme member ILMARI.  The 29 year old Miyazaki Prefecture native was recently “caught” by Japanese tabloids dating the 33 year old MC who has half Finnish ancestry.  At the press conference Yuri came clean and told reporters that she and her beau were introduced by a mutual friend and have been dating for about 2 months.  They have even since gone back to her hometown in southern Japan together (which is a big deal in Japanese society)!
