Japanese TrainsA huge part of the Japanese lifestyle revolves around their public transportation system, namely trains and subways. A town is often built around the train station and many subcultures have spawn off the railway. Here are some train / subway photos I took while in Tokyo:
Riding on the Keisei Line (京成線) from Narita International Airport
Tozai Line (東西線), the train that people hate to take during rush hours is a pleasant ride in the early afternoon
Crossing the Old Edogawa River (旧江戸川) into Tokyo
Oedo Line (大江戸線) subway @ Monzennakacho Station (門前仲町)
Tamachi Station (田町駅) looks rather dead right after lunch
Huge and airy Shinagawa Station (品川駅) serves as a major artery and connecting point
Designated smoking area on the platform at Shinbashi Station. You don’t see too many of these left in Tokyo but since Shinbashi is an “oyaji” (old geezer) town they had to leave a couple there.

I spotted the uber cute and popular TV announcer Aiko Kaito (皆籐愛子) in Akasaka Station (赤坂駅)! More to come… Ridiculous Japanese PrankWhat would be the reaction from a cute Japanese girl if she were to accidently walk in on some dude spanking his monkey? I’m sure that is the question we’re all wondering about. Well, thanks to this wonderful Japanese TV show we now know the answer! The video is self explanatory. Goofy Japanese prankster and comedian Rakkyo Ide pretends to give himself pleasure in the dressing room at a TV studio. His victims include super cute gravure idol Shoko Hamada and Oita Asahi announcer Miwako Nakashima. But when he got to his 3rd subject sexy female doctor / talent Ayako Nishikawa, the bold former Miss Japan wasn’t too impressed, Rakkyo knew he had to make some changes and demanded to let him do things “his way”. His improvisation had quite an impact, as you’ll see on the face of the 4th girl Aya Kiguchi who’s another hot gravure idol.
Aya Takashima Getting Married?
“Ayapan” is consistently ranked No. 1 as the most desirable TV announcer in Japan Rumors started flying that super popular Japanese TV announcer (newscaster) Aya Takashima aka “Ayapan” will be married later this summer to Yuji Kitagawa of the Japanese folk duo “Yuzu”. The two began dating back in 2006 and supposedly plan to tie the knot at the end of June when Yuzu wrap up their national concert tour.

According to insider information there are several reasons why “the princess of Fuji TV” cannot tie the knot just yet. First off, Yuji’s family used to be devotees of the Japanese religion “Gedatsukai”. Since leaving the cultish church his mother Keiko established her own religion named “Kamunagara no Michi” and appointed herself the leader. Keiko Kitagawa has already proclaimed that when a woman marries her son, she should be a full time housewife who focuses on raising kids and taking care of the family. But it’s presumed that Aya would like to continue working.
The Princess of Fuji TV isn’t about to go down quietly following her possible future mother-in-law’s wishes Secondly, the 29 year old Aya Takashima is considered the crown jewel at Fuji TV, excelling at presenting new programs as well as variety shows. Fuji TV does have other younger “announcers” such as Minako Nakano, Midori Matsuo, Rio Hirai and Tomoko Honda, but they all either lack the experience and ability that Aya possesses or are prone to scandals. So for the time being Fuji TV must rely on “Ayapan” to maintain good ratings.

Keep in mind that it is customary in Japan for a female TV newscaster / announcer to voluntarily “retire” once she announces her marriage. You may return to active duty at a later time, but most likely under the status of a freelance announcer. (Japanese TV stations like to stock their “ana” young, fresh and single) It has been estimated that if Aya Takashima were to turn freelance she wouldn’t make much more than what she is getting paid now, which is around $200,000. The short-lived former TV Asahi Tetsuya Chikushi News 23 newscaster caused an uproar back in 2006 when she was caught having an affair with LDP politician Goshi Hosono just when she was promoted. The self professed “M” (masochist) can be seen these days often appearing on talk shows.

Along with her oldest brother Domu (yup, their father deserves at least a good caning) they were Japan’s snowboard representatives at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Torino, Italy.
She was everyone’s darling right before the Torino Olympics back in 2006 After her devastating early round elimination in Torino due to a serious fall, Melo basically stopped snowboarding and dropped out of the spotlight, only to become a huge disgrace to Japan. Early last year it was revealed that she had been working as a “fuzoku-jo” or should I say ejaculation specialist in Osaka. Was she really that hard up for money or did she go completely insane?!
The infamous fall in the halfpipe and her subsequent consequence “I was really shocked that someone who was representing the country and in contention for an Olympic medal became a fuzoku-jo. If she were to go nude right after the Olympics she might’ve been able to fetch more money.”
