Erika Yazawa x Up To Boy

A happy Fourth of July weekend! Even though some of us still had to work or got called in to clean up the mess other people left behind (ahem!), Jay and I are determined to celebrate the occasion by throwing you hot and lovely babes all weekend long!

Here’s Erika Yazawa (谷澤恵里香), my kind of girl! The 17 year old cutie is a current and original member of Fuji TV’s idol variety show “Idoling!!!” (アイドリング!!!), along with second generation member of the same idol unit Suzuka Morita from my post on Wednesday. Erika’s wonderful G cup breast and petite 150cm (4′ 11″) hot little frame make my tongue hang out all day long.

Big tits Japanese teen Erika Yazawa has her eyes set on becoming a “baradoru” (バラドル), or variety idol

Given the nickname “Yaza-Pai” (やざパイ), a play on the combination of her last name and Japanese slang for tits, the big boobed Tokyo native Erika Yazawa has confessed to being troubled by her well developed breast. “I often cannot find a cute matching bikini bottom because of my boobs!”, complains the G cup gravure idol. I’d never complain if I wake up with my face buried in those G cup melons!

At Sleepy John we love us some scandalous action and what better way to introduce a young cutie than with some camel toe?!

Meet Suzuka Morita (森田涼花), an up and coming U-15 (under 15) junior idol from the ancient Japanese capitol city of Kyoto.  These days this petite lolita faced gravure idol is a regular cast member on Fuji TV’s variety show “Idoling!!!” (アイドリング!!!).  Here we’ve got Suzuka who belongs to Japanese entertainment agency Horipro showing us what Japanese school girls do during their summer vacation…looking pretty in sailor school uniform and gym uniform, of course!  Taken from Japanese gravure magazine Up To Boy (アップトゥボーイ).

Ai Kago Officially Back

June 30, 2008 · posted by john · Filed Under cute, japanese, jpop, movies, news, pictures · Comment

Ai Kago will be making her return to Japanese TV this Friday on Fuji TV

Former Morning Musume and super popular Japanese idol Ai Kago (加護亜衣) announced on her blog last Friday that she’s officially back in Japanese showbiz! Affectionately called “Aibon” or “Kago-chan” by her fans, the 20 year old cutie revealed she’ll make her first Japanese TV appearance since her second smoking scandal more than 2 years ago.

“Aibon” is back in the spotlight, this time as a serious actress and talent

Ai Kago is going to be the guest on Japanese showbiz icon Sanma Akashiya’s Fuji TV late night variety show “Sanma no Manma” (さんまのまんま) this Friday. On the show Aibon will talk about her downward spiral, her road to recovery, her succeeding in losing 22 pounds and her current status as a bona fide Japanese actress and “talent”. Aibon has recently returned from Hong Kong after completing her role in “Super Chef” (スーパーシェフ), her first movie since her comeback. The film will be shown in Hong Kong this fall and be in theaters in Japan next April.

If Ai Kago and Maki Goto got together, what would you name the unit?

Ai Kago has also began filming a historic suspense drama with NTV (Nippon TV) in the ancient capitol of Kyoto since returning to Japan.  She plays a princess and from the leaked press photos I’ve seen she looked absolutely adorable!  Upon her return she was asked about the rumor of her and former Morning Musume member Maki Goto (current AVEX artist) forming a new unit.  Aibon responded that it was also the first time for her to hear such speculation but she’d welcome it.

Peachy’s, Part 2

June 22, 2008 · posted by john · Filed Under blog, cute, dance, gravure, japanese, jpop, news, pictures · 2 Comments

More photos of the new Japanese lip singing idol unit “Peachy’s”. 3 popular gravure idols - Yuka Kosaka, Akina Minami and Rina Akiyama have come together to form this unique “no singing” group, a first in J-pop history.

The idea for Peachy’s came from Fuji TV’s Monday late night variety show “Jodeki! Pop Company Pop-ya” (~ジョーデキ!POP COMPANY~ POP屋)

The three cute Japanese pin-up girls were keeping it real, though. Rina Akiyama aka “Oshirina” (オシリーナ) whose claim to fame is her petite yet beautifully shaped ass said, “When I heard my own voice I thought, ‘Oh, this is bad.’!” The sexy Japanese gravure doll Yuka Kosaka aka “Kosakana” (コサカーナ) laughed, “We tried practicing but it was pretty disappointing. It’d be nice if one of us has a nice voice.” The cheerful Akina Minami aka “Akkina” (アッキーナ) added, “I don’t care, I like our group this way. We’d like to start a new lip singing craze!”

Peachy’s had their second mini “live” concert in Ikebukuro’s Sunshine City (池袋サンシャインシティ) at the end of last month. The girls were pretty nervous but showed off their lip synching (口パク) skills in front of about 2000 fans. Yuka, Akina and Rina finished the performance with their upcoming single “My Baby Boy” which is scheduled to drop on August 6th.

Peachy’s

Meet Peachy’s, the first ever “lip synching” idol unit straight outta Japan!

Mystery solved!

While I was walking around the Fuji TV headquarters building in Odaiba during my recent Japan trip I noticed some type of live event was being held at the plaza below at street level. Curious, I got closer to take a better look and see what all the commotion was about. A sizable crowd had gathered in front of a temporary stage where 3 girls dressed in similar flashy 1 piece dress outfits were doing some song & dance routine. In the backdrop on stage was a sign that said “Peachy’s”, which I had never heard of before.

The temporary outdoor stage where Peachy’s had their first public performance was at the bottom left corner of this shot of Fuji TV headquarters in Tokyo

Naturally I whipped out my beat up but trusty camera and aimed for the stage. But I was told by what appeared to be an event staff to keep moving as I was getting ready to take some snap shots that would’ve been worthy of a “Tokyo moment”. At that time I was by the very side of the stage, just outside the fenced off area where the audience was. I thought they just wanted to keep the foot traffic moving so I walked toward the pack and took out my camera again.

Peachy’s - Yuka Kosaka (L), Akina Minami (C) and Rina Akiyama (R)

However as I was adjusting the frame and the zoom once again I was interrupted by some event staff with a badge. This time I heard what he was saying, “I’m sorry but there’s no photography allowed.” I was really puzzled, since right before I got idol-blocked I saw a couple people passing by taking pictures with their cell phones. I wondered maybe it was my lack of understanding of the Japanese language or perhaps they didn’t want me taking pictures from that particular spot and get in the way because I did see a camera crew filming the event. I said to myself, “third time’s the charm” as I moved to the right side of the audience and attempted to snap up some juicy exclusive photos for all you Sleepy John readers.

Sorry guys, in the end I wasn’t able to provide any shots of my own. But this is what Peachy’s first mini concert looked like.

What do you know…this time a dude in a suit came up and rudely idol-blocked me even before I pointed my camera in the right direction! I MEAN WTF?!?! What’s the big friggin’ deal if their objective was to promote the group? I know I wasn’t back home in the States, but common sense would dictate that everything’s fair game out in the public. And I certainly considered this outdoor event by the street to fall under public domain! Am I off on this?

A big F**k Y** goes out to the department of event planning at Fuji TV and Japanese nonsensical trivial practices in general!

I got frustrated and upset about silly little trivial things the Japanese insist on doing like this one so I split without taking any pictures. But now thinking about it maybe I should’ve just played the “dumb gaijin” card and ignored them!

To make sense of all this, the dream idol unit “Peachy’s” consists of Japanese gravure idol Yuka Kosaka (小阪由佳), Akina Minami (南明奈) and Rina Akiyama (秋山莉奈), who also often appear on Japanese TV shows. Peachy’s claim to fame would be, “We’re not singing!” The project was born half jokingly out of Fuji TV’s late night TV show “Jodeki! Pop Company Pop-ya” (~ジョーデキ!POP COMPANY~ POP屋). The cute Japanese idol trio has gained so much following that they’ll release their first single titled “My Baby Boy” later on this summer!

Makoto Ogawa Returns

Makoto Ogawa (C) and her fellow 5th generation members Ai Takahashi (L) and Risa Niigaki (R) are reunited on tomorrow’s episode of HaroMoni@

This just in…after stepping away from idol life and Japanese showbiz to pursue her language studies in New Zealand, former Morning Musume Makoto Ogawa (小川麻琴) is set to return in front of the camera! As a surprise even to Morning Musume members who showed up for the taping of TV Tokyo’s weekly show “Hello Morning @” (ハロモニ@) that airs tomorrow, the 20 year old suddenly appeared from behind the set and proclaimed, “I’ve finally returned to Japan!  From now on I’ll continue to work as a Hello!Project member.”

1st row L to R: JunJun, Koharu Kusumi, Ai Takahashi, LinLin  2nd row L to R: Risa Niigaki, Reina Tanaka, Aika Mitsui, Sayumi Michishige, Eri Kamei

You can catch all of your favorite Morning Musume on HaroMoni@ (Hello Morning@) every Sunday on TV Tokyo!

Makoto Ogawa commented that when she was on the show she was known for her silly character roles so she intends to carry on and not let Mai Satoda (fellow Hello!Project member who’s famous for being silly) beat her!  While mixing up Japanese and English words, the excited P-Mako went on to say with her language ability she’d also like to become active in the variety field.  This is the 5th generation Morning Musume member’s first TV appearance since leaving in December 2006 to study English in Auckland.  Mako-chan attended classes at a language school during the week and took dance lessons after school.

Makoto Ogawa said during her first two months there she often cried because she couldn’t understand anything and was homesick.  But she toughed it out and studied hard.

Ridiculous Japanese Prank

April 20, 2008 · posted by john · Filed Under blog, cute, gravure, japanese, video, wtf · 1 Comment

What would be the reaction from a cute Japanese girl if she were to accidently walk in on some dude spanking his monkey? I’m sure that is the question we’re all wondering about. Well, thanks to this wonderful Japanese TV show we now know the answer!

The video is self explanatory. Goofy Japanese prankster and comedian Rakkyo Ide pretends to give himself pleasure in the dressing room at a TV studio. His victims include super cute gravure idol Shoko Hamada and Oita Asahi announcer Miwako Nakashima. But when he got to his 3rd subject sexy female doctor / talent Ayako Nishikawa, the bold former Miss Japan wasn’t too impressed, Rakkyo knew he had to make some changes and demanded to let him do things “his way”. His improvisation had quite an impact, as you’ll see on the face of the 4th girl Aya Kiguchi who’s another hot gravure idol.

Aya Kiguchi could only mumble, “The, the, the elephant…”

Shokotan, the princess of cosplay

The cute and sexy Japanese idol / singer Shoko Nakagawa aka “Shoko-tan” takes Japanese entertainment icon Akiko Wada to school with a short private lesson on the subculture of “otaku”, or “otakuology”. This is taken from the TBS show “Private Lesson - how to make a proper Akiko Wada”. For more information on Akiko Wada please check out my blog on Feb. 14th.

Say what? But you don’t speak Japanese? Well you’re in luck because the videos I’ve dug up are translated. And kudos to the people who worked on this piece…I think they did a fine job translating!

Ex Morning Musume Caught Dating Ultraman

Mari Yaguchi, the 4′9″ fiesty little firecracker might be in trouble again

This just in! Well actually I got the scoop late in the afternoon yesterday but was too “busy” last night to do anything if you know what I mean.;)

mari-yaguchi-11.jpg mari-yaguchi-8.jpg mari-yaguchi-15.jpg

Mari joined Morning Musume as a 2nd Generation member

Ex Morning Musume leader and member Mari Yaguchi has once again gotten herself in a scandal. This time she’s caught being romantically involved with Japanese actor Takuji Kawakubo. Takuji, who appears in TBS’s show “Ultraman Nexus” was caught leaving Mari’s home in the morning in the middle of this month, and the two have been spotted together on other occasions.

Mari trying to exude some of her “sexy beam”

The 25 year old idol / talent (a term the Japanese use to loosely describe entertainer) first got into trouble back in ‘05 when it was revealed that she was dating the handsome actor Shun Oguri, which resulted in her expulsion from Morning Musume (well, publicly she stepped down but we all knew what the real deal was). Regardless whether you agree or not, in Japan’s ultra conservative showbiz world it is forbidden for an idol to have any romantic relationship, at least in public. Once any scandal is revealed it usually means a career death sentence. And believe me every idol, major or minor, understands that. Like the saying goes, “you wanna play, you gotta pay.”

Japanese heartthrob Shun Oguri. He dumped Mari for some taller model chicks.

I don’t understand why Mari would be so careless to be caught again, especially now that she’s been enjoying pretty good success after getting a new lease on her career by being allowed to go “solo”.

Mari Yaguchi, back when she was the leader of Japan’s super idol group Morning Musume

According to reports Mari Yaguchi and Takuji Kawakubo first met at a party last summer. I wonder if it was at another one of Atsushi Tamura’s (of London Boots) mixer parties. Of course both of their agencies gave the typical reply, “they’re just friends.”
