Maomi Yuki Dating Comedians?

Sensual Japanese gravure idol MAOMI YUKI got hit with back to back reports of her dating different comedians last month.  The lucky blokes named were Satoshi Inoue of the comedy duo Jicho-Kacho and Jun Murakami of the comedy duo Shizuru.  However, handlers from both camps have vehemently denied at the suggestion that the hot 29 year old Saga Prefecture native would even consider going out with these boys.

Maomi Yuki’s (優木まおみ) management agency told Japanese daily Sankei Sports, “The report was completely false.  Why did such articles come out?  It’s causing a lot of trouble for us.”  Yoshimoto Kogyo, the management agency for the two comedians commented, “Satoshi has told us he is not seeing her.  Also, Jun has never even met Maomi once!”

Whether the rumors are true or not, it sure is an honor for the boys to be mentioned with such a hot girl like Maomi.

Ai Otsuka Dating Rapper

Japanese tabloid magazine Josei Seven reported last week that mega J-pop star AI OTSUKA is dating SU, member of the popular Japanese hip-hop group Rip Slyme.  According to the report, SU was seen entering the AVEX recording artist’s Tokyo luxury apartment at night with his own key in the middle of last month.  He remained inside and didn’t leave the following morning until after the 27 year old singer/songwriter has left for work.  It appears the couple has been seeing each other since the beginning of this year.

The cute and talented Ai Otsuka (大塚愛) was already a big fan of Rip Slyme before she met her man last year while working on her best of album Love is Best.  The Osaka native collaborated with SU on a new track titled “aisu x time”. (it’s a play off both of their names)  SU, age 36, made headlines back in 2007 when it was found out that he was dating Japanese singer Kaera Kimura.  They broke up last year.

When Ai’s management agency was contacted it neither confirmed nor denied the rumor of the two dating.  Only the reply “We leave all private matters up to her” was given.

Natsuki Kato Sues Ex Boyfriend

Ex-boyfriend, money trouble, break up, deception, betrayal and blackmail.  This story’s got Hollywood script written all over…except it’s happening in Japanese showbiz.  It has been learned last Thursday that Japanese fashion model and actress Natsuki Kato (加藤夏希) filed a lawsuit in Tokyo District Court against her former manager and ex-boyfriend.  The lawsuit is asking for roughly $300,000 in damages.

According to court papers the defendant was the acting manager for the sexy and slender Akita Prefecture native between May of 2006 and February of this year.  At some point during that time Natsuki and the man began dating.  The former manager persuaded Natsuki that she should entrust him to open up a savings account and hand over at least $1000 per month, to which she agreed to.  But instead of depositing her money, Natsuki’s ex-boyfriend blew all of it on gambling and lots of fun time at the brothel.  Currently 24 years old, the self professed anime and video game otaku Natsuki Kato became suspicious of her ex-manager’s activities about a year into their relationship and demanded to end it.  However, her big spending ex blackmailed her by threatening to expose their relationship including their private photos so she relunctantly continued dating him.

Earlier this year Natsuki Kato couldn’t take it any longer and finally brought this matter to the president of her management agency, Dimension Blue.  After being confronted the defendant owned up to the accusation, but then suddenly changed his attitude and refused to return any of the money he embezzled.  As things got tense Natsuki’s ex-boyfriend brought his parents into this entangled battle and has since switched his stance by denying the plaintiff’s claims.

I really feel sorry for Natsuki as $300,000 is no small amount and I’m sure she busted her behind to earn that money.  But the good thing is the Japanese fashion model is only 24.  With her good looks and hot body and entering the prime of her career, I’m confident she’ll be able to make up her loss in no time at all.  Hell, we might even get a nude photobook out of this ordeal!

Sexy Japanese gravure idol and actress Keiko Kitagawa (北川景子) of The Fast and the Furious fame showed up last Thursday at a press conference in Tokyo with her supposed new boyfriend, Japanese ballet dancer Shuntaro Miyao (宮尾俊太郎).  The 23 year old Kobe native was on hand to announce the completion of her next movie “Hana no Ato” (花のあと).  But obviously the press’ focus was on the rumored 25 year old new beau as Japanese weeklies have recently reported Keiko spending the night at Shuntaro’s place.

Toward the end of the press conference reporters asked Keiko Kitagawa, “How’s the relationship going?”  But the Meiji University grad just smiled and left without commenting.  At another function earlier in the day Shuntaro Miyao was asked what he likes about the Stardust Promotion talent and responded with, “I will not answer that question.”

No matter how pretty or seemingly popular she is, Japanese actress / singer and former gravure idol Erika Sawajiri (沢尻エリカ) still got her walking paper on Friday.  The 23 year old received the official word from Stardust Promotion (スターダストプロモーション) when she went into the office.  I guess in the end Erika’s management agency just couldn’t tolerate her arrogant and selfish attitude any longer.

The once cute and spunky gravure idol is the product of a Japanese father and an ethnic Algerian French mother.  It appears that as Erika gained more exposure and started working on TV drama and films from about 3 years ago, she began displaying an elitist and snobbish attitude.  As a matter of fact, she is dubbed Erika-sama, or Queen Erika by the Japanese media.  Personally I’ve always dispised her character and would love to slap the bitch if given the chance!

Stardust Promotion was mum when reached for comment.  But according to individuals familiar with the case Erika Sawajiri got herself fired due to violation of her contract and repeated questionable behavior.  Japanese daily Sponichi cited a couple examples which possibly led to her expulsion.  First when was caught on video riding an electric bicycle without wearing a helmet back in July, which is in violation of Japanese traffic law.  Remember, in Japan an entertainer’s image must be kept squeaky clean at all times.  Secondly, when the brash Erika returned from the US back in February following her wedding and honeymoon to Japanese entrepreneur Tsuyoshi Takashiro (高城剛), who’s 22 years her senior, by the way, she was done up from head to toe in a certain US based fashion brand.  Since she’s considered a public figure I’m sure her action violated the terms of agreement with her sponsors.

I think the canning of Erika Sawajiri is a long overdue rude awakening for the arrogant starlette and a warning to other Japanese celebrities thinking about emulating their US counterparts and trying to act like a diva.

After a little regrouping Japanese actress singer and former mega idol Noriko Sakai (酒井法子) appeared inside a Tokyo hotel for a press conference around 6:30pm Thursday Japan time.  The sexy mother of one had been held by Japanese authority over drug charges.

Noriko Sakai showed up at the packed hall in a different outfit than the one she was wearing a couple hours ago when she was released from jail.  She was flanked by her lawyer and ex-boss Masahisa Aizawa (相澤正久), vice president of Sun Music.  Teruo Saegusa (三枝照夫), chairman of Victor Entertainment was also present for support.

The talented but disgraced starlette fans call Noripi said in tears, “I came in contact with something I shouldn’t have due to my weak will.  I’ve brought trouble to many.  I’ve disappointed you with my irresponsible action.  It is not acceptible.  How can I ever make it up to the society?  I repent and promise from the bottom of my heart I’ll never get involve with this again.  To all of my supporters both in Japan and overseas, I’m really sorry.”

Noriko Sakai left the press conference without answering questions from reporters.  It was announced she entered a hospital for treatment after that.  I say good on her for owning up to her mistakes and I wish her the best of luck on her pending return to Japanese showbiz.

The day we’ve all been hoping for has come!  Japanese actress singer and former super idol Noriko Sakai (酒井法子) has finally posted bail.  The beautiful 38 year old walked out of Tokyo Bay Women’s Detention Center at about 4:30pm Thursday Japan time and was met by about 300 members from the media.

Wearing a black shirt and pants, Noriko lowered her head and appeared nervous while she made a statement.  The Fukuoka Prefecture native starlette said, “To all the fans who have supported me I deeply apologize” as she bowed deeply for 6 seconds.  She then left in a red Honda van.  The former Sun Music and Victor Entertainment artist was arrested on stimulant drug charges 40 days ago.

On Monday the strictly enforced Japanese legal system granted Japanese actress / singer and former super idol Noriko Sakai bail in the amount of 5 million yen, or roughly 50,000 dollars.  Lawyers for the 38 year old mother of one applied for bail in the morning and received the approval at 4pm in the afternoon.

As soon as news of the possibiliy of the disgraced former superstar posting bail broke out, about 200 members of Japanese media began camping outside Tokyo Bay Detention Center in Aomi.  There’s been rumors of Noriko having severe weight loss down to less than 80 lbs. and the cameramen are eager to capture that. 

Nicknamed “Noripi”, former Sun Music starlette Noriko Sakai has been under arrest over charges of possesion and use of illegal drugs, specifically stimulants.  Japanese police produced a warrant for her arrest back in the beginning of August and the Fukuoka Prefecture native eventually turned herself in to the authority after a brief disappearance.

Noriko has expressed concern and desire to be reunited with her 10 year old son as soon as possible.  However, according to her lawyers she has also said that she doesn’t wish to be released right away in order to avoid causing the expected mayhem the media will bring.  As of end of Tuesday (Japan time), Noriko still hasn’t officially posted bail.

Source close to the case said the reason Noriko hasn’t left is not because of lack of funds, but rather the Sakai team would like to leave the detention center when it would cause the least amount of commotion.  I say good luck to that!  When Manabu Oshio (another Japanese celebrity currently entangled in a drug case), ex-husband of Japanese actress / model Akiko Yada posted bail a couple weeks ago the media frenzy was just horrendous.  They chased the car Manbu was riding in relentlessly which in turn forced the vehicle to drive aimlessly all over the Kanto area for over 4 hours!

There’s also been sightings that Noriko’s step mother has been going in and out of her luxury apartment in Tokyo cleaning up.  This leads the media to believe Noriko will be living with her son and step mother after she posts bail.  On a related note, Yuichi Takaso, the no good husband who got Noripi into all this trouble in the first place has also been granted bail today with the same amount.

Japanese actress singer Noriko Sakai (酒井法子) has changed her stance on marriage since being detained by Japanese police for possession of illegal stimulants last month.  During Noriko’s brief “hideaway” before turning herself in the former 80s super idol had told her step mother that she intended to divorce her husband Yuichi Takaso (高相祐一) and wanted to retire from showbiz so she could live with her 10 year old son and the step mother.  However, the beautiful 38 year old has now told investigators that she wants to see her son as soon as possible and wishes to live with Yuichi and the son quietly after she is released.

According to both husband and wife’s confession, Noriko Sakai aka “Noripi” began using stimulants about 4 years ago.  She wanted to quit on several occasions but just couldn’t as she became hooked.  When Noriko went on a family vacation on Amami Oshima Island in Kagoshima at the end of July she had promised that she wouldn’t do drugs.  However, 41 year old Yuichi informed her that he had brought some.  As a result, Noriko caved in and did drugs again while her husband and son were away from the hotel room.  As a matter of fact, the cute as a button former mega Japanese idol singer everyone fell in love with confessed that she had actually “fried” right before her husband was arrested in the beginning of August and began panicking as she witnessed her husband’s fate on the streets of Shibuya!

I think being locked up for too long has affected Noriko’s ability to think clearly.  She absolutely needs to dump this loser husband of hers who’s been a constant source of bad influence.  Noripi has to get away from him as far away as possible if she even wants a shred of hope of getting her career back, which she needs to support her son.

More information is coming out regarding the drug scandal of Japanese actress singer and former mega idol Noriko Sakai (酒井法子) which rocked Japan. 

Contrary to earlier statements given by both the 38 year old mother of one and her husband, self proclaimed pro surfer Yuichi Takaso (高相祐一), Noriko has now confessed to a much longer history of drug use.  Originally both the husband and wife claimed that she began using illegal stimulants from about a year ago and has only used it for about 10 times.  However, during further interrogation Noriko changed her story and told authority that the starting time was actually 3 to 4 years ago due to stress and fatigue from work.  She began “frying” on a regular basis and got a bit carried away.  The popular Japanese songstress with a sweet voice admitted that she wanted to quit but couldn’t kick the habit.  Instead the frequency of drug use increased.  Yuichi Takaso has told investigators that he noticed Noriko had been frying too much and actually warned her about the abuse.

It was also revealed that shortly prior to Yuichi’s arrest in the beginning of August they purchased the banned stimulants while on a family vacation on Amami Oshima Island in southern Japan.  As expected, both “Noripi” and her estranged husband have been re-arrested by Japanese police and further detained.

To make matters worse, according to legal experts it is highly unlikely Noriko Sakai will be able to post bail because of the questionable action she took while she was “on the run” for about 6 days before turning herself in.  During the time Noriko made herself unavailable she withdrew about $4000 from the ATM, purchased underwear, instant noodles and water in large quantity, disposed her cell phone because “it was broken” and cut and colored her hair which is seen as an attempt to temper with evidence.  Hair from the still cute as a button former idol came back positive for the illegal substance.

If Noripi was really trying to erase any evidence of her drug abuse, perhaps she should’ve stayed on the run longer and given herself a real buzz cut?

The sad saga of Japanese actress singer and former mega idol Noriko Sakai’s (酒井法子) drug scandal just keeps spiraling.  The beautiful and graceful 38 year old shocked the nation when she surrendered to Japanese police over possesion of banned stimulant earlier this month and is currently still being detained by the authority. 

Affectionately called “Noripi” by her fans, the uncertain future of Noriko Sakai’s career took another turn toward the dark path this past weekend.  The president of Noripi’s management agency Sun Music (サンミュージック) who until now had been supportive, finally announced late last Friday night that he is cutting the Fukuoka Prefecture native off his roster.  Noriko has been with Sun Music for nearly 23 years since her debut as a teenager.  At the press conference Masahisa Aizawa (相澤正久) said to reporters, “It pains me to fire Noriko.  I’m heartbroken.”  Noripi’s record label Victor Entertainment has also officially terminated her contract.

Actually the firing of the fallen Japanese star did not stem from loss revenue.  As a matter of fact, ever since Noriko Sakai’s drug scandal broke out, her singles have become top sellers in the iTune Store!  Unfortunately image is everything in Japan, especially for a person such as Noriko who is supposed to play a squeak clean role.  Since she can no longer carry that wholesome image she had to be put down.

All of Noriko Sakai’s CD have been taken off the shelf across Japan.  I say put them back…homegirl needs money for her legal defense fund and possible permanent retirement!

More information has come out regarding the arrest of former mega Japanese idol Noriko Sakai (酒井法子).  The beautiful Japanese singer and actress told police her husband Yuichi Takaso got her started on drugs last summer and they “fried” together.  This has been confirmed by Yuichi himself.

Noriko’s former pro surfer husband added that since they separated earlier this spring when he saw her again he noticed that she had gotten thinner and her behavior was hyper and a bit strange, displaying the same symptoms he has when he’s under the influence of stimulants.  Tokyo police suspect she has been doing drugs on her 0wn.

During interrogation Noriko Sakai, a 38 year old mother of one said, “I found out they produced a search warrant on my condo on TV when I stayed at a hotel in Yamanashi Prefecture.  I started panicking and didn’t know what to do.”  Police turned up a total of 42 plastic straws and 1 glass pipe at her luxury condo residence in Minami Aoyama.  When asked where she obtained the drugs, Noriko replied, “I got them from foreigners.”

There is some hope for the Fukuoka Prefecture born singer / actress, though.  According to legal experts, stimulants usually leave the body within 4 days.  Sure enough, the urine sample Noriko Sakai supplied upon her arrest over the weekend turned out to be negative.  In addition, typically it requires about 0.03 gram of the stimulant each time the user “fries”.  However, only a minimal trace in the amount of 0.008 gram was collected upon the search which makes it difficult to prosecute.  The prosecuter may have to drop the charge in the end due to lack of evidence.

Tokyo Metropolitan Police have decided to detain Noriko Sakai for 10 days until the 19th to complete their investigation.  Yes, unfortunately Japanese laws allow the police to do that.  So all you pot heads and fry monkeys please do think twice before you blaze up if you happen to be in Japan!

Even if the cute and sexy 80s/90s super idol people call Noripi can escape this wrath with just a slap on the wrist, she has already suffered major financial loses.  Nagoya based pharmaceutical company ARAX (アラクス) announced today that they have dissolved Noriko Sakai’s contract with them.  Noriko has been a long time spokesperson for their Norshin (ノーシン) headache medicine, perhaps the most popular brand in Japan.  Victor Entertainment has also announced on Sunday the cancellation of her “Best Of” double CD scheduled to be in store on the 16th of next month.  It’s not going to be easy but I’m rooting for Noriko to come out of this fighting and hopefully she can salvage her showbiz career.

On a sidenote…while how Noriko Sakai spent her time and her exact whereabouts between late 8/2 and the moment she surrendered to authorities last Saturday night remain a mystery, speculations began flying about her step mother’s involvement.  Japanese media is suspecting the woman who raised Noriko of aiding her or even accompanying her while she was “on the run”.

Just like I previously speculated, Japanese actress and former gravure model Akiko Yada (矢田亜希子) couldn’t take her playboy husband Manabu Oshio’s shenanigans anymore and finally fired his ass.  If you recall in my post on Tuesday the 31 year old J-pop rocker was arrested on drug charges as well as connection in the death of a female companion he was with while under the influence.  The Kanagawa Prefecture native faxed an official statement to major Japanese media outlet late on Friday announcing the marriage between she and Manabu have ended.

In the statement Akiko wrote, “I, Akiko Yada have divorced Manabu Oshio.  Just like some of the reports said, we were in separation due to his relationship with other women and our different views on value.  I didn’t think the separation would lead to divorce.  However, due to this incident, in consideration of my son and the people around me I made the decision.  At any rate, I’m really sorry my ex-husband caused so much trouble and I deeply apologize.”

Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the dead woman at the condo of the lead singer of Japanese rock band LIV is a 31 year old former Ginza hostess.  Manabu had been carrying on an affair with her for about 6 months.  Cocaine turned up after police searched the deceased woman’s apartment.

Here’s an interesting tidbit: the 1 bedroom condo located in Roppongi Hills luxury high rise complex where the former hostess died costs $4000 per month.  Manabu Oshio’s name isn’t on the lease agreement.  Instead, it’s under Mika Noguchi (野口美佳), president of popular Japanese lingerie brand Peach John.  According to industry insiders Ms. Noguchi rented out this condo as a “pleasure suite” and lets her friends use it too.

Akiko Yada’s ex-hubby told police that his slender and beautiful girlfriend was already under the influence and appeared excited when she showed up at his condo.  At her recommendation they then took one pill each.  The woman lost consciousness after she took the second pill.  He tried to resuscitate her but to no avail.  Manabu now also claims that it was his first time taking the Ecstasy pill.
