2008 NTV Genic gravure contest winner Yu Akiyama (秋山優) at her first DVD release press conference at Ishimaru Denki (石丸電気) in the famous Tokyo district of Akihabara back in January of this year. It was the 21 year old’s first major gravure project after having worked as a fashion magazine model.

The sexy and cute Yu Akiyama shot the DVD on the Indonesian resort island of Bali. She confessed to being somewhat nervous and embarrassed when it came to the cosplay portion of the shoot. She also claimed she was fed monkey meat while staying there!

Believe it or not Yu isn’t always blessed with those yummy 88cm F cup breast. Her nickname back in junior high was reportedly “flatbread” and didn’t start growing into her current curvy body until after having entered high school.  Here’s another tidbit about Yu Akiyama…she belongs to the same famous Japanese entertainment agency “A-team” / “A-PLUS” as super gravure idol Aki Hoshino and Yuka Kosaka.

Back in July 5 lucky girls were chosen as this year’s “Nittere Genic” (日テレジェニック) gravure contest winners. The 11th annual event is run by (you guessed it) Japanese TV station Nippon Terebi, or NTV for short.

Yu Akiyama (秋山優) has been a fashion model and currently attends Japan Women’s University. Yu has been practicing classic ballet since the age of 3 yet proudly sports a F cup chest!

Natsuko (奈津子) just turned 19 last month and is this year’s youngest winner. She’s also an actress and has been dabbling in Japanese showbiz with her twin sister Akiko for quite some time.

Yoshimi Hamasaki (浜崎慶美) is a self professed country girl. The 22 year old hails from Kochi Prefecture on Shikoku island, where she keeps 2 mountain boars as pets and has taught them to “shake”.

Reimi Tachibana (橘麗美) is another country girl, claiming her heritage from Yoron Island all the way at the deep southern end of Kagoshima Prefecture. But don’t even try to mess with Reimi, because this gravure idol is also a judoka and she’ll slam your ass on the ground!
